Did you know that 13% of drownings occur at the beach. This is a terrible amount and it is our aim to lower these statistics. Some ways in which we can reduce these numbers is by following these water safety tips:
-Always swim at a patrolled beach, with adults around
-Swim between the red and yellow flags
-Keep an eye on the weather, waves and currents
-If you know that the conditions are too strong for you don’t go in the water at all or only swim up to your hips
- Always keep a look out for warning signs or any signs at all- know the meaning of each of the different colored flags
